Stephen M. Passen

Stephen M. Passen founded Passen Law Group in 1977, and since then has focused exclusively on representing individuals and families in complex personal injury and wrongful death cases. 

Mr. Passen regularly handles cases involving severe personal injuries  or death caused by transportation negligence, medical malpractice, premises liability and product liability.  Over the years, Mr. Passen has consistently secured substantial verdicts and settlements for personal injury victims and their families.

In Mr. Passen's most recent high-profile jury trial, he was successful in obtaining a

for a minor child who suffered a brain injury at a parochial school in Chicago.  This verdict was recognized as one of the Top 100 Verdicts by the National Law Journal.

Mr. Passen has received the highest rating from his peers, which permits his name to appear in the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register publication as an "AV" rated attorney. Mr. Passen has also been selected by his peers to appear in the publication of Leading Illinois Attorneys as well as the National Directory of Who's Who in Executive Professionals, Marquis' Who's Who in American Law, and Strathmore's Who's Who.  

Mr. Passen serves as an elected member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Passen has also been selected to the Leading Lawyers Network, as well as to The Society of Trial Lawyers, and has served as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Tort Law Section Council and the Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association's Civil Procedure Committee.

Mr. Passen earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of California - Berkeley in 1970 and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1973.
