John J. Driscoll


John J. DriscollJohn J. Driscoll earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1993 and went on to receive his juris doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School in 1997. After graduating from law school, Mr. Driscoll began working as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William D. Maddux, the current Presiding Judge of the Cook County Law Division. After completing his judicial clerkship in 1999, he joined the firm of Stephen M. Passen, Ltd. where he worked as an associate for eight years. In 2007, Mr. Driscoll became a partner with Mr. Passen and the firm name was changed to Passen & Driscoll.

Mr. Driscoll has received successful results in trying cases to verdict, and obtaining settlements for victims and their families in all areas of personal injury law, including medical malpractice, products liability, auto, premises liability, construction negligence, and wrongful death cases. He has successfully handled hundreds of cases, including a recent settlement for $1.5 million dollars for a truck driver who sustained a permanent back injury when he was pinned between two trucks while at a loading dock.

Mr. Driscoll has also written appellate briefs on various legal issues arising in the area of personal injury law in both the Illinois Appellate and Supreme Courts.

Mr. Driscoll is an active member of a number of bar associations including the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association , the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the American Bar Association.

In 2006, he was appointed as an associate member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Civil Practice and Procedure Section Council.
